Skin Renewing Enzyme Mask
- using Papaya Mint Digestaid
Skin looking tired and dull, let’s rejuvenate and brighten it with a lovely zingy face mask. Nature’s Sunshine Papaya Mint Digestaid is not only fabulous for aiding in the relief of digestive dysfunction such as bloating, flatulence and dyspepsia; it is also a great addition to beauty products. The papaya enzymes breakdown dead skin cells and as a result brightens the skin, and the peppermint balances oil production from the sebaceous glands, is antimicrobial, calms and sooths as well as improves circulation to the area. Citrus fruits like oranges and lemons are high in citric acid which is great for sloughing off dead skin cells and speed new cell turnover.
Ingredients:
3-5 crushed Nature’s Sunshine Papaya Mint DigestAid tablets (3 if sensitive, 5 if normal -oily)
1 tbs of organic natural yoghurt
2 tbs fresh orange or lemon juice (lemon for extra zing)
Crush the tablets in a pestle and mortar (if you don’t have one, soak tablets in the juice for 10mins, then crush with the back of a knife), add juice, then add yoghurt and whisk with a fork. Should make enough for two masks, so invite a friend or repeat in 2-3 days.
Apply mask onto fleshly cleansed skin, ensuring to avoid the eye area. Leave on for 15mins. Then rinse with warm water and finish with your favourite toner (or a couple of drops of lemon juice for troubled skin) and moisturiser or Miracell.
